A “Rookie Diva” for WWE’s RAW brand, Maria Kanellis or known as just Maria was born on May 2, 1981 in Ottawa, Illinois. Maria is the youngest ever Diva on the roster of WWE’s RAW.

Maria has won countless beauty pageants before entering and competing for the $250,000 WWE’s Raw Diva Search. WWE signed her up as a backstage interviewer; she did not win the competition. Maria has been give the dumb blonde gimmick, and has played on a slip-up she made during one of her first interviews when she referred to Edge as "The Edge."

TBS’s reality TV Show “Outback Jack’s” former contestant searching for love, she was one of the three finalist but wasn’t picked up by Jack and was sent home.

Maria WWE Career

In WWE Maria always asks the dumb blonde questions, she thinks somebody should be up for the job, this has her a reputation as the oblivious RAW backstage reporter.

Maria has amused and irritated WWE Superstars and Divas alike during her interviews.

Despite working in WWE for a relative short period, she has had many a memorable moments, including interviewing Eugene and William Regal after they won the World Tag Team Championship from La Resistance.

The Halloween Costume Contest on October 31 edition of RAW, saw Maria as competitor. Maria had dressed up as an angel. Maria received good critiques from her contributors, due to the contest. The contest ended in a no win, since Victoria and Mickie got in to a fight Maria gave a helping hand for getting rid of them both from the ring.

Maria again participated in “Fulfill you Fantasy” Diva battle at 2005’s Taboo Tuesday for Women's Championship; she was the first to be eliminated.

SmackDown!

During the Eddie Guerrero tribute RAW show, Maria competed in non title match against divas from both SmackDown! and RAW. Maria was frozen in a corner of the ring, for almost the entire match, only getting involved when she saw the opportunity to eliminate a competitor. Maria, getting bored of doing nothing attacked both Melina, and Trish Stratus. This was the biggest mistake as they together eliminated Maria. There is no doubt that Maria is a combination of strength and beauty and she utilize both wherever required.
