Sharmell Bio

A former member of WCW Nitro Girls, Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman was born the 2nd of November 1974. She is known in the ring simply as Sharmell. Sharmell works for WWE, under the SmackDown! brand.

Sharmell Career

Sharmell a professional dancer touring with several R&B bands, joined WCW‘s Nitro Girls in 1999. Miss Black America 1991 Pageant winner was given the name of Nitro Girl “Storm”. Her win in the pageant was overshadowed when one of her competitors alleged that Mike Tyson, the judge of the pageant, had raped her. She left the dancing career and became a valet for The Artist called Paisley. Sharmell had feuds with Sytch and wrestled inring several times. Sharmell then joined the pop group “Diversity 5” formed with five other former Nitro Girls.

On purchasing the WCW brand, in 2001, Sharmell was appointed a backstage interviewer for WWE, by Mr. Vince McMahon. Sharmell was later sent to OVW farm territory. While in OVH, Sharmell was severly injured and was off the television for a very long time. Sharmell was released in August 2002. Now married in real to famous WWE wrestler Booker T, Sharmell returned to WWE’s SmackDown! brand alongside Booker T in April 2005.

Kurt Angle started a feud with both of them by calling Sharmell a gutter slut and started stalking her. Booker T beat Kurt in Judgment Day 2005, ending the feud. After the match Kurt ended being handcuffed while trying to handcuff Sharmell, Booker T handcuffed him and beat the daylights out of him, Sharmell finished by kicking Kurt Angle in the balls. In a six – way tag team match, Sharmell accompanied her husband and his partner Benoit pitted against MNM on SmackDown!’s August 4, 2005 edition, Sharmell while trying to save her husband was given a “fixer” by MNM.
