Robert William "Bob" Howard (born January 29, 1963) is one of the greatest Americans professional wrestlers, also known by the ring name, Bob “Hardcore” Holly. Nowadays, he is a WWE undertaker wrestler, on its ECW brand. Career Bob Holly As we can see from his WWE undertaker bio, he had his debut in 1987 in the Mobile/Pensacola area in the World Organization of Wrestling where he held titles on and off including the WOW Tag Team Championship with Ron Starr. From there he wrestled in Memphis and then in the NWA and had moderate success .In 1992, he went to Smoking Mountain Wrestling, were he was known as the undertaker wrestler “Hollywood “Bob Howard before changing his name into “Superstar” Bob Holly. Holly made his undertaker entrance in the World Wrestling Federation on January 11; 1994.His initial undertaker logo was that of a NASCAR driver turned wrestler. At the 1995 Royal Rumble, Holly and the 1-2-3 Kid defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka in the finals of a tournament and crown WWF Tag Team Champions. -Too bad that their crown ship didn’t last for long. The second day, they’ve lost it in favor of The Smoking' Guns. World Wrestling Federation He competed later that year for the WWF undertaker Intercontinental Championship, but he was, sadly, defeated. A few years later, he renamed Bombastic Bob, while participating in the National Wrestling Alliance stable. In 1999, the undertaker wrestler entered in the WWF for the Hardcore Title, naming himself as Hardcore Holly. He won then, after a few quick changes, WWF Tag Team Championships. In 2002 Holly joined the Smack Down team but he’s career suffered from a severe neck broke during the match with Brock Lesnar. This made him not able to compete for one year, but in 2003 he returned for his revenge. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to overpower Lesnar, and the wrestler was eventually defeated. 2004, 2005 and 2006 where some rough years for the undertaker wrestler, for he won few fights but no world title. Bob Holly WWE Career He made a pretty surprising appearance at the WWE's Extreme Championship Wrestling house show event on August 21, 2006 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, defeating Balls Mahoney. In September 26, 2006 Holly received 24 stitches in his back after suffering a serious injury. The undertaker galleries upon that match cheered the wrestler for his courage to continue fighting although severely injured. Again in April, 2007- he managed to get himself injured and was operated- and due to be out of the ring for at least 3 or 4 months. In the National Wrestling Alliance he won an NWA World Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Bart Gunn. Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him # 391 of the 500 best singles wrestlers of the PWI Years in 2003. In the World Wrestling Federation: He became WWF World Tag Team Championship (2 times) - with 1-2-3 Kid (1) and Crash Holly (1) and WWF Hardcore Championship (7 times). In the World Wrestling Organization, the wrestler won: WWO Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Ron Starr and WWO United States Championship (1 time).
