Career Joey Until May 2006, Styles worked for WWE wrestling undertaker brand with Jonathan Coachman and Jerry Lawler. He quit his job complaining about the lack of wrestling and his dislike of “sports entertainment”. Finally he made peace with the WWE brand and appeared at the Shane Douglas's Hardcore Homecoming event on June 10, 2005 at the ECW Arena. He handled play-by-play with Mike Foley and made very controversial comments about the undertaker wrestlers. (Like Mike Awesome). –Calling him a “Judah” and a “piece of crap”. On the first of November 2005, he made his appearance at the World Wrestling Entertainment's Taboo Tuesday PPV. He was brought here to fill for a colleague- Jonathan Coachman. Joey WWE Career Joey joined WWE’s RAW as a play-by-play announcer on the 7 of November 2005. On his undertaker bio profile on WWE.com, in December 2005, Styles was named an official 5 years play-by-play commentator for RAW. Although he was the lead announcer for RAW , it was said that he would not provide comments for Wrestle Mania – which he experienced on his own skin , when in 27 of March 2006, he was forbidden to comment on RAW. That’s because Vince McMahon didn’t quite liked Joey’s style of commenting, instead he wanted a “storyteller”. However, Joey was present at Wrestle Mania and lost his undertaker wrestling “virginity”- calling the hardcore Match between Mick Foley and Edge (his long life dream of calling a match at Wrestle Mania, was now completed). Quotes: The First one, and the most common, is:"Oh, my God! “. -And the Spanish version of it being - "¡Ay, dios mio!” – Another famous quote is: “Catfight!!CAAATFIIIIGHT!!!"- When a fight breaks out between two female wrestlers, A memorable one: "I do not call wrestling matches as if they were a story; I call them as if they are actual sporting events.” And don’t forget about: "RVD's feeling a little Froggy!" - In reference to Rob Van Dam before he does his signature move, the Five-Star Frog Splash. After a spot where New Jack landed on Joel Gartner through a table from the balcony of the Hammerstein Ballroom: "Joel Gartner’s dead! Joel Gartner’s dead!" The famous beginning quote: "I'm Joey Styles and welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling.” In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter he managed to get the 1994 , 1995 and 1996 Announcer of the Year
