Charlie Haas Bio

Charlie Haas hails from Edmond, Oklahoma and his career debut in the World Wrestling Entertainment on December 26, 2002.

Charlie Hass wrestling career started during high school, but his most notable accomplishments before going professional were achieved during his college years when he wrestled as an amateur for Seton Hall University and made the All American wresting team twice.

Among his career accomplishments in WWE wrestling Charlie Haas has won the World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship title three times, twice with Shelton Benjamin and once with Rico. Charlie Haas wrestling championship histories include the Natural Heavyweight Championship and the Combat Zone Wrestling World Tag Team Championship with team member Russ Haas.

Charlie Haas entered the world of wrestling with his brother Russ and the amateur level tag team mastered many wins in the Heartland Wrestling Association and Ohio Valley Wrestling. Russ Haas wrestled with a pre-existing heart condition and lost that match in December 2001.

Charlie Haas WWE Career

Charlie Haas teamed up with Shelton Benjamin, and the Benjamin and Haas wrestling team became the self-professed World’s Greatest Tag-Team. In the 2004 World Wrestling Entertainment draft lottery, Benjamin was selected to be moved to the Raw brand. Before the Benjamin move to the WWE Raw brand, however, the self-professed World’s Greatest Tag Team miraculously won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice.

Charlie Haas teamed up with Rico and won another Tag Team Championship title. Rico’s contract expired and Charlie Haas experimented with various angles, including serving as a referee for a match in Armageddon 2004. His love interests in wrestling blended into a real life romance and his love relationship with Miss Jackie culminated in marriage in June 2005. The pair left the World Wrestling Entertainment in July, 2005.

RAW

The Haas WWE relationship resumed on February 22, 2006 when Charlie Haas partnered up with his old tag team partner Shelton Benjamin on an episode of Raw and Haas defeated his former partner soundly. When Benjamin defeated Crazy Eight in December of 2006, Charlie Haas congratulated him and the pair eventually reunited. The former Tag Team champions are now regulars on Raw and Heat, and are steadfast in their pursuit of another World Tag Team Championship title.

The Charlie Haas theme song has changed over the years and in May of 2006 the World Wrestling Entertainment tag team champion started using Pay the Price, a song performed by Eric & The Hostiles. The Charlie Haas theme song might sound familiar to wrestling fans because it was used as the theme song for The Great American Bash in 2005.
