Chris Masters Bio
Christopher Mordetsky is an American professional wrestler and was born on January 18, 1983 in Santa Monica, California, but is billed as being from Los Angeles, California. The California native has been known by Chris Masters and by Chris Mordetsky. Chris Masters is billed at an impressive height of 6 foot 4 inches, and touts 267 pounds on his chiseled frame. Other Chris Masters nicknames that fans have been familiar with over the years are The Living, Breathing Statue, The Matrix, Superfreak, Roman General, and The Masterpiece. During his wrestling career, Chris Masters has been managed by two people and they are Sherri Martel and Beth Phoenix. Career Christ Masters Chris Masters developed the Master Lock hold and opponents found it impossible to break away from during any match. The Master Lock Challenge was issued to all wrestlers by Chris Masters and he placed a challenge that he would reward $1,000 to any wrestler that could break it. The reward for the Master Lock Challenge was increased weekly and finally topped off at $20,000. A July 18, 2005 match with Rosey failed the Challenge and The Big Show was flatly refused by Chris Masters in the ring when he made his bid. Chris Masters defeated Ric Flair in late August with the Master Lock, and Shawn Michaels failed in his quest to break the Master Lock on September 5, 2005, but did last the longest of all competitors. The Master Lock Challenge was finally won on March 19, 2007 by EWC World Champion Bobby Lashley. Christ Masters WWE Career Chris Master’s debut on Raw on February 21 2005 was a violent one. Pitted against Steven Richards, The Masterpiece used the double axe handle in the ring, and ended up breaking Richards’s nose and orbital bone. The double axe handle is supposed to land in the middle of the chest but instead the move found Richards face a suitable target. Chris Masters won a subsequent match again Steven Richards, and the Polish Hammer became his signature move. RAW After Backlash 2006, Chris Masters pursued the WWE Intercontinental Championship title but was ultimately suspended by the WWE. Chris Masters returned to the WWE on August 28, 2006 in a match against John Cena. Masters had lost muscle mass, grown a goatee and moustache. Masters was given low-card matches for a long time, and then was pitted against John Cena on December 4, 2006 as part of the Master Lock Challenge. SmackDown! Chris Masters was drafted from Raw to SmackDown! During the 2007 World Wrestling Entertainment Draft on June 11, 2007. Masters WWE Raw career ended when he lost a match to Mike Mizanin. This was the result of a referee decision that was based on Gene Snitsky refusal to obey the orders of the referee after the match. The signature move that WWE Chris Masters uses most often is a swinging full nelson which is known to wrestling fans as the Master Lock. This finishing move has been modified to a Wheelbarrow Suplex called the Master-Plex, a Full Nelson slam called the Master Slam and an Electric Chair drop known as the Master Bomb. The Double axe handle blows to the chest have gotten Chris Masters in a lot of trouble in ring.
