Mick Foley Bio
An author and a freelance wrestler, Mick Foley Sr. was born on June the 7th, 1965 in Bloomington, Indiana. Mick Foley currently works for the WWE. Mick Foley’s family later moved to New York, where Mick Foley played lacrosse and wrestled in his new school, Ward Melville High School. Mick Foley hitchhiked from Cortland, where he was studying in the State University of New York, to Madison Square garden to watch his favorite wrestle Jimmy “Superflu” Snuka wrestle, who later on inspired Mick Foley to pursue a wrestling career. Career Mick Foley Mick Foley enrolled in at Domini DeNucci’s wrestling school. Mick Foley also made some WWF video tapings where he wrestled against then notable names like the British Bulldog. Mick Foley toured in the independent circuit for a long time. Receiving various contract offers from regional promotions, Mick Foley took up a contract with CWA and was known as Cactus Jack. Mick Foley along with Young Held the CWA Tag team championships. Mick Foley then later joined the WCCW in Texas, wining several titles there. Mick Foley then joined the WCW, and later joined the UWF. In WCW, Mick Foley debuted as a heel and attacked Sting. Some time later Mick Foley wanted a break to be with his new born daughter and get surgery done to repair a knee injury. While he was way, the story told to the media was where he went crazy, was institutionalized, escaped, and developed amnesia. Mick Foley WWE Career Mick Foley’s matches against Vader were so violent that WCW refused to ever book a match between them on Pay per View. After a match with Sullivan Mick Foley left WCW and wrestled for SMW, ECW and Japan. Mick Foley wrestled ECW and Smokey Mountain Wrestling, not for long though, he went and joined the Japan circuits. Before long he was back in ECW. Mick Foley also continued to work in the independent circuits for a very long time. Mick Foley then joined WWF in 1996 with the gimmick of him having multiple personalities; his ring name then was “Mankind” and debuted the day after WrestleMania XII. Mankind or Mick Foley won the WWF championship from The Rock. But later on Mick Foley and The Rock patched up and formed the tag team known as the The Rock ‘n’ Sock connection. Mick Foley retired from the arena after losing a hell in the cell match against Triple H. Mick Foley returned as the commissioned of WWF after four years on behest of Linda McMahon. In 2001 Foley and McMahon had a real-life falling out with each other at the time, and Foley was absent from WWE for almost two years. On June 18, 2007 Mick Foley suffered an injury to his head and will be competing in the 5-man open challenge for the WWE Championship at Vengeance.
