David Michael Bautista (Dave Batista) or better known by his ring name Batista was born on January 18, 1969. Batista is an American Wrestler. Batista is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its SmackDown! Brand. Bautista is of Filipino and Greek heritage. Batista can break dance and nicely so. Batista has been known to criticize SmackDown! Batista has guest starred in the eighth episode of Season 6 of the famous American Drama, “Smallville”, playing a villain named Aldar. Batista separated from his wife in 2006. Career Batista Batista started his career at the WCW Power Plant, where he was told by Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker, that Batista could never make a career in wrestling. Batista then went to WWF, where he was sent to work under Afa Anoai. He Wrestled in Anoai’s WXW promotion under the name Kahn. Ohio Valley Wrestling Batista Batista made is debut in Ohio Valley wrestling in 2000 where Batista joined forces with Synn. WWE’s Batista was called Leviathan in OVW. WWE wrestling’s Batista, as a member of the Disciples of Synn was undefeated until he was beaten by WWF's Kane, with help from Steve Austin. Batista won the OVH’s Heavyweight Championship from 'The Machine' Doug Basham. Batista left OVH, after Batista lost the belt to The Prototype. World Wrestling Entertainment Batista Batista made his first appearance in WWE on the May 9, 2002 episode of SmackDown! as Deacon Batista, a heel enforcer for Reverend D-Von on the SmackDown! Franchise. Batista debut match was a tag match teaming with D-Von against Randy Orton and Faarooq with Batista pinning Orton after using his spinebuster. WWE’s Batista’s debut loss in SmackDown! was in a match against Rikishi. WWE’s Batista and D-Von went there separate ways. Batista allied himself with Ric Flair and fought with Kane, whom he defeated in his pay-per-view debut at WWE’s Armageddon 2002 in Sunrise, Florida. Raw Batista in January 2003 joined forces with Triple H, Ric Flair, and Randy Orton to form Evolution. For much of 2003 Batista was sidelined owning to his triceps tear at a showdown against the Dudley Boyz. After recovery, Batista re-tore his triceps while training and suffered yet another setback when after his second surgery to reattach his triceps he was infected, that required a third surgery to clean out the infection. Batista returned on the October 20, 2003 episode of RAW. Batista won one half of the World Tag Team Championship, sharing the title with Ric Flair at WWE’s Armageddon 2003. Most of 2004, Barista suffered a losing streak, 2004 saw Batista get pinned by mid-card wrestler Maven on one occasion. 2005 five saw Batista win WWE’s Royal Rumble, earning him the right to participate in WrestleMania 21 against the World Champion of his choice. Just before WrestleMania 21, Batista tired of Triple H’s tactics left Evolution. WWE’s Batista won the World Wrestling Championship title in WrestleMania 21 on April 3, 2005. SmackDown! Batista went on to become the first Wrestler to pin down Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match. Batista suffered a back muscle tear on November 11, 2005 edition of SmackDown! due to a double chokeslam from The Big Show and Kane. In 2006, Batista had to give away the World Wrestling Championship, due to a tear in the right triceps. WWE’s Batista broke Triple H’s record of 280 days for longest reigning champion. Batista went on to have a successful recovery and regained his World Heavyweight Championship at the Survivor series 2006. Batista lost the Championship in 2007 WrestleMania to The Undertaker.
