Rey Mysterio Bio
Rey Mysterio’s original name is Oscar Gutierrez Rubio and he was born on December 11, 1974 in San Diego, California. He is a professional wrestler and working for WWE and one of the smallest wrestlers in WWE history. He got wrestling training from his uncle Rey Mysterio, Sr. he started his career as a wrestler in Tijuana, Mexico in April 1989 when he was 14 years old. Legally he was underage to receive the license to wrestle. When he was 18 years old he was allowed by his uncle to use Rey Misterio, Jr. in the ring. Rey Mysterio is famous for his high flying style. He is currently living in San Diego with his wife and has two children.
Career
In 1995 when Mysterio make the debut on Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) he defeated Psicosis. This match left a huge impact on American professional wrestling.
In 1996 Mysterio gain popularity in WCW. His name was changed to “Mystery Man”. He has lot of famous matches with great wrestlers. He won the WCW Cruiserweight title five times and made a huge impact on WCW.

In 1997 Mysterio won his 2nd Cruiserweight match at Halloween Havoc against his friend Eddie Guerrero and this match was the “Match of The Year”. In 1998 Mysterio lose the title at WCW Souled Out against Chris Jericho. Six months later mysterio regain the title from Chris Jericho at Bash at the Beach, but due to the interfearance of Dean Malenko the title was returned to the Jericho. Eddie Guerrero formed a group “Latino World Order” and he pressured Mysterio to jion the group, but, he refused. In the same year he participate a tag team match against Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, but unfortunately he lose the match and causing to remove the mask.

In 2002 Rey Mysterio signed with WWE and he was asked to wear the mask, but in Mexico a wrestler cannot regain the mask he loses the mask the he could be fined and could be fined for that. But, in recent tour of Mexico Rey Mysterio wore the mask again.
Rey Mysterio started his career in WWE on SmakDown in a dispute with Kurt Angle. Later to win the WWE Tag Team challenge he teamed with Edge, but after losing they stopped tagging. At WrestleMania Rey challenged Matt Hardy for the WWE Cruiserweight competition, but he lost the match. After couple of weeks he beat the Matt and won the WWF Cruiserweight championship, but he fails to retain the title and lost it to Tajiri. At this time he teamed with Rob Van Dam to face the Dudley Boyz. They take the WWE Tag Team Championship from Rene Dupree and Kenzo. However Rey lost the title when RVD became wounded.

In the starting of 2005 Rey teamed with Eddie Guerrero to won the WWE Tag-Team challenge for the third time by defeating Doug Basham and Danny Basham. In WrestleMania 21held on April 3, 2005 they faced one other and Rey won the match.
Rey became very disappointed when Guerrero exposed that Dominic was his biological son. But later Guerrero left Dominic with Rey. Rey defeated the Guerrero at Summer Slam, for the custody of Dominic. Eddie was found dead in the hotel room on November 13, 2005. On the same day Mysterio gave a speech about Guerrero and in the respect of Guerrero he removed his mask

Mysterio took part in the Survivor Series as the part of the Smack Down with Randy Orton and others to defeat the Raw team. He teamed with World Heavyweight Champion Batista and MNM was defeated by this team for the WWE Tag Team championship and they dedicate this match to Eddie, nut they lost the Champion vs. Champion match against The Big Show and Kane. On December 30, 2005 MNM calls a rematch with Rey and Batista to regain the WWE Tag-Team Championships. Batista and Rey stayed together until Batista left the Smack Down because of his injury.

In 2006 in Royal Rumble Match Mysterio defeated the Randy Orton and won the World Heavyweight title for the first time and he also made a record for standing in rind over 62 minutes. During February Randy Orton challenge Mysterio and Rey accepted his challenge and Randy won this match illegally. Later the SmackDown General Manager show his sympathetic and declared a triple threat World Title match between Mysterio, Randy and the World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle. In Chicago Rey became the World Heavyweight Champion by defeating the Randy in a tipple threat match and after that a rock band performed Rey Mysterio theme "Booyaka 619" and Mysterio became the smallest World Heave Weight Champion in the history of WWE. In an episode of SmackDown Rey defended the title for the first time against Randy Orton.

A quarrel started between Mysterio and United States Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield. Rey was beaten by Mark Henry and the great Khali in a non title single match
At WWE vs. ECW match Rob Van Dam beaten Mysterio. ECW's Sabu interfered in a match between Mysterio and Finaly, and Mysterio lost the match. He would the then quarrel with King Booker and Booker won the battle. After that Booker was defeated by Mysterio in a single match.

Rey Mysterio’ entrance theme “Booyaka 619” was introduced at WrestleMania 22. He also took part in a film “Ready To Rumble” in 2000. Mysterio also performed on WWE CD with a song called "Crossing Borders" and this song became the official song of “No Way Out PPV” for the year 2004. His signature is 619 which is the code of his hometown New Orleans.
